INTRODUCING: Nancy Steele-Merritt, Rochester General Hospital Quality Director

I am pleased to announce that Nancy Steele-Merritt, RN, MSN will be Quality Director at Rochester General Hospital and will begin her new role on Monday, September 18, 2017.

Nancy started her career in nursing as an RN graduating from Monroe Community College. She continued her education at State University of New York, Brockport, where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and attended Anna Maria College earning her Masters of Science degree in Nursing.

Nancy started as an Assistant Nurse in Coronary Care/Telemetry Unit at Genesee Hospital. Since that time she has held progressive positions of responsibility.  In 2002 she joined University of Rochester, Strong Memorial Hospital as a Quality Assurance Administrator.   Since 2015 she has worked as Associate Quality and Compliance Officer at Strong Memorial Hospital overseeing Risk Management, Quality Improvement, Infection Prevention and Compliance activities.

I am delighted that Nancy has agreed to partner with Rochester Regional Health to become the healthcare choice of this region. Her vast experience will be of great value to us in this effort.
