Greece Public Library is asking for the community’s help in creating cozy, non-skid socks that will be donated to children who are patients at Rochester Regional Health. It’s part of the library’s Craft It Forward program.
The library is prepared to provide all necessary materials, but will gladly take material donations if community members would like to bring the following:
- New and unworn toddler sized socks in gender-neutral colors/patterns, the cozier the better
- Puff paint in a variety of colors
Community members can create the socks at home and drop them off. A tutorial can be accessed here.
Who: Adults and children ages 10 and up
When: The library will host a craft night on March 19. For those who are unable to attend, socks will be collected through the end of April and can be dropped off anytime during the library’s open hours.
Craft it Forward is a series of programs where the library uses its craftiness to benefit the community. All of the objects and materials created for each program will be donated to a local charity, non-profit, or community organization.
