CONGRATULATIONS: Rochester General DAISY Award Winners

Three nurses at Rochester General Hospital were recently named DAISY Award winners for providing Extraordinary Nursing Care.

  • Erica Soritino, RN, 7800 Unit, was nominated by Dr. Seetharamen for her clinical care and empathy in caring for a challenging long-term patient. Eric was also honored for strong leadership and her role as a valuable team member on the Stroke Unit.

  • Dorothy De Roque, RN, Emergency Department, was nominated by two of her fellow colleagues. They recognized Dorthoy for her nursing passion, clinical excellence, great respect for her patients and families, community service and going above and beyond to deliver extraordinary care.

  • Susan Montagliano, RN, clinical resource nurse, 5500 Unit, was nominated by a colleague who witnesses daily Sue’s dedication not only to her patients but their families and the staff. She serves many roles on the unit but always manages to ensure that each and every patient has a few extra minutes of special attention.

Anyone can nominate a nurse for a DAISY award. Electronic nominations can be found on the RRH portal, here. Paper nominations can be dropped off in the Nursing Office.

The DAISY Award is a national program that rewards and celebrates the extraordinary clinical skill and compassionate care given by nurses every day.
