“The best way to learn is to jump in with two feet, so here we go!”It is this outlook to mentoring that earned Ann Marie Clifford the Mary F. Hannick Award for Excellence in Field Instruction. The distinction, given by Nazareth College Social Work Department, honors a person who has demonstrated excellence in teaching students.
Ann Marie, a social worker, was nominated by a junior at Nazareth College who was placed under her guidance at Hill Haven Transitional Care and Rehabilitation Center. “I was lucky to get such an amazing, knowledgeable, and influential person to be my first field instructor,” said the student.
Ann Marie was presented with the award on May 1.
