As reported on most major news outlets, a significant ransomware attack known as “WannaCry” has impacted health systems and end users in over one hundred countries. Rochester Regional Health IS&T has implemented several measures to protect the health system from this attack. The attackers are now using a new method to infiltrate systems by posing as Microsoft or IT Support calling to patch your system. Microsoft will NEVER call any Rochester Regional Health employee asking to access your system. If you receive such a call, please hang up and contact the Rochester Regional Service Desk at 585-922-HELP immediately. Thank you for your ongoing assistance as we work to keep our information systems secure.
